AI in My Practice

I build the governance structures, leadership systems, and cultural infrastructure that help organizations move from intention to impact. AI accelerates how I get there — without replacing the judgment that makes the work meaningful.

"AI doesn't generate organizational wisdom. It multiplies the capacity of someone who already has it."

The most critical OE work — reading a leadership team's actual dynamics, knowing which conversation needs to happen before the strategy deck lands, designing a governance structure that will survive the first real decision — none of that comes from a prompt. It comes from experience, judgment, and organizational instinct built over years.

What AI has changed: the speed at which I can build the scaffolding. Frameworks get drafted in hours, not days. Communication architectures get tested against multiple stakeholder perspectives before they touch a single inbox. Diagnostics that used to require weeks of synthesis now surface patterns in a working session. The judgment is still mine. The leverage is exponential.

Where AI enters my practice

Five domains where I actively leverage AI tools daily — with concrete before-and-after framing.

01
Executive Communication & C-Suite Ghostwriting
How I use AI
Draft-to-refined in a single working session. I use AI to generate first-pass board materials, all-hands narratives, and leadership communications — then apply the executive's voice, organizational context, and political awareness that only a trusted insider can provide.
What it produces
Board decks, CEO all-hands scripts, VP communications, and change narratives that used to require multiple revision cycles now move from brief to final-quality draft in hours — without losing the human voice or organizational intelligence at the center.
02
Organizational Diagnostics & Pattern Synthesis
How I use AI
Engagement survey themes, leadership interview notes, and meeting transcripts that used to require days of synthesis get analyzed for patterns, gaps, and root causes in a structured working session. I frame the diagnostic brief, interrogate the output, and apply contextual interpretation AI cannot access.
What it produces
Diagnostic summaries with pattern analysis, prioritized organizational themes, and recommended intervention frameworks — delivered faster and with more structural precision than manual synthesis alone.
03
Governance & Operating Framework Design
How I use AI
When designing team charters, accountability structures, operating rhythms, or decision frameworks, I use AI to generate structural options — then pressure-test them against the specific organizational context, culture, and leadership dynamics I know firsthand.
What it produces
HPT charters, governance frameworks, escalation matrices, and operating cadence designs that are structurally sound and contextually calibrated — not generic templates.
04
Change Management Planning
How I use AI
Stakeholder analysis, change narrative development, communication sequencing, and resistance mapping — AI generates comprehensive structural scaffolding quickly. I apply the organizational intelligence: who needs to hear what, when, from whom, and in what sequence.
What it produces
Change management plans, stakeholder communication matrices, and adoption roadmaps that move from concept to deployable framework in days, not weeks.
05
Learning Architecture & Curriculum Design
How I use AI
Capability frameworks, manager playbooks, onboarding sequences, and development pathways benefit from AI-assisted structural design. I define the learning objectives, competency targets, and constraints — AI generates scaffolding I then refine and calibrate.
What it produces
Manager playbooks, onboarding frameworks, competency-based role clarity guides, and HPT training materials that are structurally comprehensive and practically deployable.

A prompt in action

What sophisticated AI fluency actually looks like — not "write me a framework" but precision prompting that produces deployable work.

Sample Prompt — Organizational Diagnostic Brief
Active Use
You are helping me prepare a diagnostic summary for a 400-person global Quality & Compliance division following an engagement survey cycle. The division operates across 12 countries with a matrix structure and a historically compliance-heavy culture attempting to shift toward higher engagement and shared accountability. Survey themes indicate: strong individual role clarity, weak cross-functional collaboration, low confidence in manager communication, and variable understanding of how team contributions connect to divisional strategy. Draft a diagnostic summary with three sections: (1) key findings with root cause framing, (2) recommended priority areas for intervention — ranked by organizational impact, not ease of implementation, and (3) a change narrative paragraph leadership can use in a follow-up all-hands. Write for a VP audience. Be specific. Avoid generic recommendations.
Why this works
The prompt provides organizational context AI cannot infer, specifies the audience and output format, defines the ranking criteria explicitly, and instructs away from the generic output most prompts produce. Precision in = precision out.

What AI can — and cannot — do in this work

What AI does well

  • Generate structural scaffolding for frameworks and documents rapidly
  • Surface patterns across large bodies of text or data
  • Draft communication at volume without losing coherence
  • Pressure-test a framework by generating counterarguments
  • Produce multiple structural alternatives for comparison
  • Accelerate first-draft quality on complex documents

What only the practitioner can do

  • Read the real dynamics of a leadership team
  • Know which conversation needs to happen before the deck lands
  • Hold the room in a facilitated offsite when tension surfaces
  • Calibrate a message to the specific culture and political moment
  • Earn the trust that makes executive partnership possible
  • Decide what the organization actually needs vs. what it's asking for
